This photograph was taken at Mashujaa Grounds, Mtumba Government City, Dodoma, during the official inauguration ceremony of ministerial and government institution office buildings, as well as tarmac roads in Mtumba Government City.

The historic event was attended by senior government leaders from the United Republic of Tanzania and distinguished guests, including Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania, and João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, President of the Republic of Angola.

The inauguration covered key government infrastructure, including:

“Office buildings for 26 government ministries.Office buildings for 11 government institutions.A total of 57.1 kilometres of tarmac roads.”

In this photograph, Mr. Firimin Msiangi, Director General of the President's Office – Records and Archives Management Department (first from the right), is seen standing alongside fellow government leaders during the singing of the Angolan National Anthem.

One of the notable moments during the ceremony was the singing of Angola's National Anthem, officially known as “Angola Avante,” which translates into English as “Onward Angola.”

The anthem is sung in Portuguese and was officially adopted in 1975, following Angola's independence.

“Angola Avante” carries an important patriotic and historical message, highlighting the following values:

“National Independence: Recognising and honouring Angola's independence.Unity and Solidarity: Promoting unity, cooperation and solidarity among the people of Angola. Patriotism: Inspiring citizens to love, serve and defend their nation. The History of the Struggle for Freedom: Honouring the efforts and sacrifices made by the Angolan people in their struggle for independence.”

The singing of the Angolan National Anthem during this ceremony formed part of the official national and diplomatic protocol. It demonstrated respect for the Republic of Angola while symbolising the longstanding friendship, mutual respect and cooperation between Tanzania and Angola.
