TRAMPA RECOGNIZES MSIANGI FOR HIS LONGSTANDING CONTRIBUTION

A gift can be a symbol of honour, but for the Director of President’s Office, Records and Archives  Management  Department  Firimin Msiangi, the award he received on September 23, 2026, carried a much deeper message—recognition of his many years of contribution to the preservation and development of the Archives and Records Management profession in Tanzania.

 

Msiangi stood before participants of the 14th Conference of the Tanzania Records and Archives Management Professionals Association (TRAMPA) in Dodoma, where he was presented with a special award in recognition of his contribution and dedication to the profession.

 

As the citation accompanying the award was read, Msiangi’s name was highlighted with words of appreciation, reflecting the impact of his contribution to the profession over many years.

 

“Director Msiangi is among the stakeholders whose contribution is recognized and respected by TRAMPA. This has been a longstanding and outstanding contribution,” the citation stated.

 

After receiving the award, Msiangi directed the honour beyond himself to the institution he represents.

 

Expressing his appreciation, he thanked TRAMPA members for recognizing his contribution.

“I would like to thank the members of TRAMPA for recognizing my contribution. This recognition is also a recognition of the contribution of the President’s Office, Records and Archives  Management  Department . Thank you, TRAMPA,” Msiangi said.

 

The recognition comes as records and archives professionals gather in Dodoma for the 14th TRAMPA Conference, which was officially opened on September 23, 2026, by the Minister for Public Service Management and Good Governance, Hon. Ridhiwani Jakaya Kikwete.

 

For Msiangi, the presentation of the award may have taken only a moment, but its message carries a much longer history—a history of contribution, dedication and service in a field whose work often takes place behind the scenes, yet plays a vital role in ensuring that the history and records of the nation are preserved for present and future generations.
