Adeladius Makwega – MBAGALA
Dr. Tulia,
I really wanted to give you this gift in secret… not because I have anything to hide—absolutely not! 😄Rather, I wanted it to be a little secret from my heart to you—a gift that would quietly reach you, yet carry a message greater than a hundred words. ❤️
But then I looked into my heart, smiled, and said:
“Adeladius, remember, you are not your own… you belong to the Wambeya!” 😂
And that was when I started becoming afraid of the Wambeya.
The people of Wambeya are my friends. I respect them and I love them… but it is the wambeya—the gossipers—whom I fear the most. 😄
Because there are ordinary gossipers, and then there are those special ones who, even when a flower is delivered to someone, will examine it like detectives and ask:
“Why was this flower given to her?” 😂
Some people, when they see a gift, will not admire its beauty. Instead, they will begin searching for the hidden meaning behind the gift.
That is why I advised myself:
“It is better to give it to her openly, in front of the Wambeya and in front of the wambeya, so everyone can see it with their own eyes.”
Because I have no reason to hide my happiness.
When I saw your picture wearing that beautiful kitenge that perfectly matched your headwrap, something happened inside my heart.
My heart quietly whispered:
“This woman is absolutely beautiful.” ❤️
And honestly, it was difficult for me to simply scroll past in silence. There was a message I had to write on your wall.
There is a kind of beauty that the eyes see, but there is another kind of beauty that the heart feels.
It was not just the kitenge that caught my attention.
It was not just the beautiful way your headwrap sat on your head.
It was not even your smile alone.
It was the way you carried yourself…the way you smiled…your natural elegance…and that light within you that made the picture look like more than just an ordinary photograph.
You looked like a woman carrying her beauty so effortlessly, without ever asking the world to notice her. And that is when I told myself:
“A woman like this deserves to be celebrated.” ❤️
It is very rare for a son of Mbagala like me to say such things publicly. 😂
But today, I have decided to say them.
The Wambeya may have nothing to say… but the wambeya have a lot of work to do! 😄So, if someone asks:
“Why did you give her this gift?”
My answer is simple:
Because I was genuinely happy to see you looking that beautiful.
Because I wanted to tell you, without using too many words:
“I saw you.”
I saw your light.
I saw the happiness in your smile.
I saw a beauty that needs no elaborate makeup of words.
And I was happy to see you that way. ❤️
But let me not deceive you…
There is something more than the kitenge.
Sometimes someone can appear before your eyes and simply pass by.
But sometimes, someone appears before you and touches a certain place in your heart without even knowing it.
And you, that day, did exactly that.
That is why this gift has become more than just a gift.
It is a compliment dressed in the form of a present.
It is my happiness transformed into a gift.
And perhaps, it is a little secret from my heart that was forced to come out into the open. ❤️
If the wambeya begin bringing jealousy, let them.
If they begin bringing hatred, let them.
If they begin searching for another interpretation, let them search.
Because my heart carries no evil.
I gave it to you out of respect.
I gave it to you as a compliment.
I gave it to you out of happiness.
And I gave it to you with pure feelings that I am willing to honor before God.
I do not want to live in fear of people's words.
I want to live according to the
truth of my heart—
with respect,
with wisdom,
with dignity,
and with reverence for God.
So today, this gift is no longer a secret.
I give it to you in front of people.
I give it to you in front of the Wambeya.
I give it to you in front of the wambeya.
But there is one thing that, even if I stood before the entire world, I would never reveal.
The real reason that made me so deeply desire to give you this gift…
That will remain a little secret between my heart and my heart. ❤️
Wambeya, I know you understand me.
But wambeya, keep wondering. 😂
I am here to receive compliments, and if anyone raises their voice with bad interpretations, let them know this:
Today, Mwanakwetu son of Mbagala has spoken from his heart. 😄
My warmest greetings to
Dr. Tulia Ackson of Mbeya—neighbor to the wambeya. ❤️
