SALAMA’S MESSAGE FROM THE NATIONAL ARCHIVES AND RECORDS DEPARTMENT

President’s Office, National Archives and Records Department – DODOMA.

The success of an institution is not built by its name alone, but by the people who serve within it. This is the message delivered by the Director of Administration and Human Resources at the President’s Office, National Archives and Records Department, Ms. Salama Said Mohammed, to staff of the institution.

Speaking to some members of staff in Dodoma on August 17, 2026, Ms. Salama urged them to work with dedication, professionalism and commitment while adhering to the laws, regulations and institutional guidelines governing their duties.

“When you join an institution, you should first look at its work plan, then identify what you are expected to do in accordance with the institution’s guidelines, regulations and laws. After that, work hard and remain committed to ensuring that your institution moves forward,”

she said.

Ms. Salama emphasized that public service is a responsibility and a trust, and therefore every public servant has a duty to work tirelessly in serving the people of Tanzania.

In her view, an individual employee can either contribute to the success of an institution or become part of its challenges. When employees fulfill their responsibilities, the institution moves forward; and when the institution performs well, the people ultimately benefit.

That is why every employee should strive to be a “shining light” within their institution by carrying out their duties with integrity, dedication and commitment.

Most importantly, this message comes from Ms. Salama Said Mohammed of the National Archives and Records Department—not Salama Binti Jabir.

Mwanakwetu, are you there?
